Discuss Life After Life by Kate Atkinson

UPDATE:  The book is over 500 pages ... so if you haven't already done so, please start reading! - Jennifer

From the NY Times: "Its heroine, Ursula Todd, keeps dying, then dying again. She dies when she is being born, on a snowy night in 1910. As a child, she drowns, falls off a roof and contracts influenza. Later, she commits suicide and is murdered. She is killed during the German bombing of London in World War II and ends her life in the ruins of Berlin in 1945. Each time Ursula dies, Atkinson — a British writer best known here as the author of “Case Histories,” the first in a series of highly entertaining mysteries featuring the sleuth Jackson Brodie — resurrects her and sets her on one of the many alternate courses that her destiny might have taken."

I don't want to risk traveling tonight, so I am a no. I'm hoping this might get rescheduled (or maybe a second session?), so I haven't outright cancelled my rsvp.

The book is excellent and I am looking forward to the discussion BUT after reading all the comments about postponing I am uncertain whether we are meeting. I am going to assume we aren't before I try to get to the meeting in KOP. I look forward to a reschedule.

I reluctantly had to change my RSVP to no. Feeling under the weather today. Loved this book and would have enjoyed the discussion. I would certainly vote for a rescheduled time (or perhaps a second meeting if possible) due to the weather conditions today. Also, the Meetup site has been down for a good part of the day making it difficult for everyone to figure out what is going on.

My preference would also be to postpone. And perhaps this would also give others a chance to complete the book.

Loved this book / very disappointed that I am canceling combination of weather and work overload

Mother Nature will be attending, too! Jennifer, will this be postponed?
