What we're about

Saluton! We're all interested in learning and practising Esperanto, the international language.

This isn't anything formal and we won't be listening to lectures or anything like that. We're just a bunch of people from around Reading & Berkshire who enjoy Esperanto and would love to meet other people to speak it with.

If you're interested but don't yet know Esperanto, why not give the course on the Duolingo app a go or pop by the Lernu site? https://lernu.net/en

Coffee, Cake and... Esperanto!

Reading Town Hall

Our monthly event, aimed at all Esperanto speakers, regardless of ability or experience. Don't think you need to already be able to hold a conversation to attend. Do come along, we can all practise and improve together. We' ll meet at 11.15am in The Pantry Cafe & Kitchen, the brand new cafe at Reading Museum and Town Hall, Blagrave Street, Reading, RG1 1QH. The Pantry is inside Reading beautiful Town Hall and museum, less than a minute walk from Reading's Central Station, so ideal for our visitors who travel by train or bus. Look out for the table with books on and lots of coffee cups or the Esperanto flag. :-) NB: Please let us know in advance by RSVP if you're interested in coming. That way, we'll know what numbers to expect and where to sit in the venue. Come along to practise your Esperanto skills with us in a relaxed environment.
