There is a meal, with open mic at Tutus Ethiopian Table 18:30 on Friday Nov 7TH
open mic will include music and spoken words artists and audience
although you may attend to eat and watch or tale part in the event

Pay for your own food and drink on the evening

As part of that I will be booking a table. Please let me know if you wish to join me

Join us at the Siren Bar, Friar Street on Saturday, 22nd November at 1pm – 4pm for poetry related chat and the chance to socialise with your fellow poets. This month we will be continuing to explore how much influence other poets have on our work including working collaboratively with others. To get us started please bring along two poems – one that has been influential in your life and the other, a poem written by you in the style of the aforementioned.

Free entry to Watch or read.
Dreading Slam is a friendly, open mic poetry competition
The winner gets the opportunity to compete in the Grand Slam in January 2026
Join the audience or take part an evening of live poetry entertainment.
In addition the chance to read the works of any poet (max 3 mins) outside competition
There is also a lively quick fire round of short poems this is up to 5 lines long, won by the loudest cheer Dec theme is Crackers
If you wish to take part in the Poetry Slam, please bring 3 poems of your own work.
