Ready Steady Go! was created for novice runners in the Eastern Queens area who are seeking to join a "true" beginner's running group.
The mission of this running group is to provide our team the opportunity to meet up with other teammates of similar fitness levels and goals to train and run in an environment that fosters camaraderie and embraces a fitness and healthy lifestyle.
The team uses an 8-Week Beginner Running Plan to transition from walking to jogging/running 30 mins in 8 weeks! The team meet-ups are at rotating parks in Bayside, Queens 3 times per week. If your goal is to transition from walking to running; train to run your first 5K; or to simply run for 30 minutes a few times a week for fitness and health, I encourage you to join.
