Ministry in a Gender Confused World
We minister the gospel into a context where views on identity and gender create moving boundaries and therefore apprehension and uncertainty. Gaining a strong grasp of the Bible’s understanding of gender in our created, fallen, and redeemed conditions is an essential prerequisite to ministering in our current world. Please join us as Rob and Claire Smith help us better comprehend how the Scriptures speak about and into our identity as gendered human beings living in a fallen world in the light of God’s full and final revelation of himself in the incarnate Son.

About Rob and Claire Smith
Rob is an ordained Anglican minister who lectures in theology, ethics and music ministry at Sydney Missionary & Bible College. He has a PhD in theological anthropology and is the author or co-author of several books, including How Should We Think About Gender and Identity? (2022) and The Gender Revolution (2023), written with Patricia and Kamal Weerakoon. Rob is married to Claire, who is a writer and women’s Bible teacher. She has a PhD in New Testament and is also the author of several books, including God’s Good Design: What the Bible Really Says about Men and Women (2019). They are both experienced and sought-after speakers, nationally and internationally, and delight to help God’s people grapple with the Bible’s teaching on sex and gender and how the gospel speaks to the complex pastoral challenges created by the transgender revolution.
