What we're about

Life takes us on many journeys. As we travel them, our circle of women friends may blossom, remain stable, shrink, fall apart, or a combination of all 4. Rebuilding the circle is intended to plant and nurture new seeds for fostering fresh, authentic friendships amongst women 40+ who are looking to reestablish a circle of women friends whom can be a support, a wing woman, great listener, engage in great conversation, and much more. To promote the circle, we’ll engage in various activities: good movie, dinner, wine in the yard, theatrical productions, local festivals, explore historic treasures, happy hour, concerts, spa day, museums, traveling, and much more.

We are a positive group of AMAZING women. If you are looking to Step outside of your Comfort Zone and Expend some effort to meet new women to build meaningful friendships, this group is for YOU.

Note: Please be mindful when replying to participate in an event. Organizing an event requires a little planning and some effort. We recognize that life happens, so please keep your RSVP current if you are unable to attend an event for which you previously accepted.

About the tour: A cultural historian and certified tour guide leads this two-hour walking tour of the murals and historic sites in the Greater U Street Historic District. Once called a “city within a city,” this neighborhood became a hub of commercial, intellectual and cultural life for African Americans at the turn of the 20th century. You’ll visit sites where important black leaders in the civil-rights movement, education, law and music made history, and you’ll see the murals that artists painted in remembrance of that heritage. You’ll also learn about those artists, the stories they tell about the neighborhood and the DC organizations who work to facilitate the creation and placement of these beautiful works of art.
