RegTech Open Forum: What Is RegTech?

Since this will be our first meetup, let's plan to keep an open forum format over pizza and refreshments at the ThoughtWorks office.

Let's discuss: WHAT IS REGTECH? As a nascent community and a term that's gaining a lot of mindshare, there's also a lot of competition to "own" the term. Let's discuss it as a community!

WANTED: two to three volunteers to help lead the conversation: WHAT IS REGTECH?

FORMAT: this will be an open discussion, but we have a few people lined up to be informal "panelists" to lead the discussion:

• thought leader from ThoughtWorks

• a RegTech software company

• journalist and digital strategist on blockchain and smart contracts

• possible a venture capitalist in the space

AGENDA:

7:00 - 7:30 - Networking and reception

7:30 - 8:00 - Welcome

• Welcome message to the group

• Introduction to the organizers, panelists, and community volunteers;

• Community update and reading list

8:00 - 9:30 - Roundtable discussion (panel + community) - What is RegTech?

9:30 - Post-session conversation, possibly at a nearby bar or restaurant
