Gene's Happy Birthday Ride!

IMPORTANT UPDATE
PLEASE READ BELOW

This is an important update to this weekends ride so please read.

My buddy Chris and I tested out the loop for this weekend and learned a few things.

1. There is going to be a rather large running event happening on the same day as our ride. UGH! We are talking a few hundred people are going to be running. You're going to have to park in either the lot by the beach or by the boat house.

2. Please plan to meet up in the boat house parking lot. I'll have a rather large RGMTB banner up in the air next to my white Subaru to help you find me.

3. With all this going on if you could try to get to the park a little earlier then you might have planned that would be helpful. We really need to roll out by 10am to get this ride in and be back to BBQ.

4. That now leads us to the ride. This is going to be an upper intermediate level ride. Wawayanda is known for rocks, there's not much I can do about that. Please, if you found our Sterling ride and/or latest Ringwood ride very challenging then this ride is going to be tough on you. I'll have a link to the Strava below so you can see what the route looks like. I'm not trying to turn anyone away, I'm just making sure everyone has a good time and understands the level of riding needed for this event.

5. Lastly, I've been asked if you need to bring anything and the answer is just your bike and be ready to have fun! There will be hamburgers and hot dogs on the BBQ for everyone. I might try to get some other things like chips and stuff like that as well. I'll also work out drinks. Food is pretty basic this time around and next time we can do more of a pot luck thing but I just wanted to make this easy on everyone.

OK, so the RGMTB Get Away didn't happen, it's cool. All I want to do is hang out with my friends and ride mountain bikes so let's make this happen. How about a super fun ride at Wawayanda followed by a BBQ!
