This hike to Carson River Hot springs is NOT for beginners.
**Lenght out and back 10,5 miles, elevation gain 2340 feet. Last mile down to the springs is steep. Going down to the springs is optional but going up is requirement !! **
Please assess your level of fitness before you RSVP.
Beautifull trail with great view of mountains, hopefully they are covered with snow. Most of the trail looks like you can see on the picture of the event.
The hot pool sits right on the bank of Carson River.
I hope the pool in good condition.
Let's hike there before it gets too cold and snowy.

It takes little bit over one hour to get to trailhead. Off road vehicle is recommended.
We will meet at 7-15 am between Starbucks and Shell at Galena Junction, 18250 Wedge Pkwy, Reno, NV 89511 for carpool.
If you would like to meet us at the trailhead, please be there at 8-20 am - the end of Scossa Canyon Rd , coordinates 38°45'32.0"N 119°45'28.7"W
Because of changeable weather.. please dress appropriately and in layers.
The trail has minimum to no shade, pls bring water, hat, sunscreen,
Don't forget to pack your launch, sweemsuit, towel.
In midweek there shouldn't be other people beside us. We will have fun!!
