What we're about
The Research Bazaar (ResBaz) is a worldwide event promoting the digital literacy emerging at the center of modern research. This group aims to provide research tools through peer-to-peer interactions and constant engagement of a community of researchers.
We host weekly ("Hacky Hour" and "Coffee & Code") and annual (The Research Bazaar Festival) events aimed to continually engage researchers and improve their computing skills, reinforce learned techniques, and push them into developing their computing knowledge.
Our aim is to equip researchers from all career stages with the digital skills and tools required to do their research better, faster, and smarter.
Upcoming events (4+)
What better way to start a day than getting a cup of coffee/tea and share your time with the ResBaz community?
At Coffee & Code you will have the opportunity to do some writing/coding/hacking, get help with anything you might be struggling with, or learn about some new bioinformatic tools and approaches. You will also have the chance to meet a diverse group of researchers, programmers, developers, and other members of the wider tech community.
Interested in coding/programming but don't know where to start? Meet some experts and get their recommendation early on! Nothing new to share this week? Great to hear! Come anyway, help someone in need, and spend some time with the ResBaz community.
Do you want to work on something specific at Coffee & Code? Just reach out on Slack in the #coffe-and-code channel.
