QiGong Afternoon Class
QiGong is a self-healing practice using slow and flowing movements with rhythmic breathing. The standing exercises enable one to improve overall well-being, reduce stress, increase balance and flexibility, improve health, and promote a healthy flow of Qi or Chi (essence of life) throughout the body. Class Instructor Karen Steinbrecher has been practicing QiGong for over 20 years. Her class combines teachings from various schools of QiGong and honor practices that follow and support transition and the rhythms of the seasons. "I practice QiGong every day, for it enables me to reach into that part of my being that is peace. Through the offerings of this Meetup group, members will experience tools for greater whole-self peace, gain insight into practices that keep us well and resilient, and connect with other people devoted to their health and well-being. This Meetup group announces classes held at The Resiliency Center in Flourtown and invites members to share their ideas for additional movement practices that offer empowerment and deepen inner strength and joy.
