Women's March Huddle
Details
What is a Next Up Huddle? During the first few weeks of February, we will gather together in our neighborhoods and begin to transform the energy we saw at Women’s Marches into local and national action. This is the first step we need to take in order to mobilize millions to win back the country and world we want.
Our Huddle will be a positive, inclusive, and action-oriented local meeting where marchers and allies can gather together to define our next steps as a movement, and envision how to transform the energy we saw at Women’s Marches into local and national action.
This Sunday, February 12th 2017, CONTINUATION OF HUDDLE AND NEW AGENDA
*********************************************************************************************
For our second Huddle we will combine our organizing efforts and focus in more detail on our roles and various strategies we can commit to in progressing the subject matters we posted when participating in the WHAT WE DID NEXT vision boards action (i.e. Campaign Finance Reform, Voter Rights Bill Amendment, Impeachment, Adopt Universal Vote By Mail, All Nations Working To Reverse Climate Change, No DAPL, Think Local, Act Global, LGBTQIA Acceptance, Activism, Environmental Protection, Divest, Human Rights, Women's Rights, Civil Rights, Equal Pay, etc.). For those who are new to a Huddle meeting, we welcome you in creating an additional board so you can determine your primary focus on issues that matter most to you as well. In addition, we intend to provide new media equipment in an effort to project and share the Huddle Promotional Video for those who have yet to see via the web or Huddle meeting. Please return to our Huddle and attend with guests as your attendance will make a difference in our resistance. The more we network and organize together as likeminded members of our community the more we are able to unite in the fight and succeed to Stay Strong.

FIRST HUDDLE RECAP
On Sunday, February 5th 2017, Indivisible Suffragette Sisters held the first Huddle. We utilized the Huddle Guide and created an agenda using some basic tools by womensmarch.com/100 while taking the suggestion to stay flexible. The goal was to achieve attendance between 10 to 15 people. We are pleased to say our group was much larger, approximately 40 people. Keep in mind this was during Super Bowl Sunday. That says allot about how serious our community is about the issues we all care about.
Brooke Teal Robbins, founder of Indivisible Suffragette Sisters, was the Meeting Facilitator who welcomed everyone. An overview of the Huddle was explained. It was stated that two of the actions thus far are to mail postcards to Senators an advocate the issues we care about as well as attending Huddle Meetings. Unfortunately due to technical difficulties, we were unable to watch the Huddle Promotional Video. However, being flexible, we compensated the time by sharing our march or solidarity stories. We went around the room and introduced ourselves and stated where we marched as well as the subject matter we were most passionate about. Many people who attended the event have had experience as dedicated organizers and offer their own individual leadership in the community. Everyone was well spoken. A megaphone was used to be heard. Since boycotting has been affective with the recent Credo UBER petition "THE DISINVESTMENT ELECTION" was proposed, an action to divest from the Donald Trump agenda, for womensmarch.com/100 to consider that may possibly become one of the 10 actions in the first 100 days. We discussed political goals and what we wish to achieve within four years with two WHAT WE DID NEXT vision boards. We talked about various likeminded local and global organizations, including but not limited to, climaterealityproject.org. We discussed meeting weekly to act productively on a regular basis as we take on new roles and balance our commitment to the resistance. We closed by taking a group photo, handing out postcards and visualizing making the future better as a group of likeminded activists. We hope that those who attended the first Huddle are inspired to attend weekly same time same place as well as new additions to the group as we continue to resist and STAY STRONG.
