SF Resist and Rise, formerly Momentum, is a group of about 47, based in North Beach. We have a Facebook page and a website listing weekly actions to take and an events calendar that are available to people after they have attended one meeting. During meetings we drink wine and eat goodies. We sign petitions, write letters and postcards, make phone calls, register voters, march and rally together. We will be fundraising and travelling to swing counties and states nearer the 2018 elections. We offer companionship and support as well as guidance on just what to do during these trying times.
Not all members are Meet-up members so the attendance numbers listed on Meet-up are never correct.
"Huddles are part of the 10 Actions for the First 100 Days campaign, which launched at the Women’s March, and will mobilize millions to win back the country and world we want.
We’ll visualize what a more equitable, democratic, safe and free world could look like four years from now -- and we’ll work backwards to figure out what we need to do, starting today, to get there. Huddles are meant to be inclusive, action-oriented, productive, and grounded in the tradition of nonviolent resistance."
