July 4th @ the Supreme Court ~ 'Abortion Is Freedom' Action

Needs a location

-This is a cross post event-

This Independence Day the nation will be celebrating freedom while having recently overturned Roe v. Wade, taking away the reproductive freedom of over 160 million Americans.
So, on July 4th Shout Your Abortion will send the message—THIS COURT CAN’T STOP US—by setting up a lemonade stand/ abortion pop-up stand at the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, D.C.
Come dressed in red, white & blue & SHOW UP AT NOON ON JULY 4TH IN FRONT OF THE SUPREME COURT to publicly and joyfully defy the Dobbs decision and let the Court know that they can't stop us—we will continue to have abortions—legal or not.
This action will be in collaboration with Aid Access and will kick off an advance-provision campaign across all 50 states. Abortion pills are safe and available. SYA volunteers will be on hand to help you order abortion pills, and celebrate (reproductive) freedom with popsicles and lemonade!

And another event happening nearby:
Gen Z March on Washington
10:00 AM – 5:00 PM EDT, at Independence Ave & Third St SW

On July 4, 2022, young American adults (approximately) between the ages of 18 and 26 will unite in Washington D.C. for the Gen Z March on Washington. Whether it is gun violence, the high cost of higher education, or (most of all) the CLIMATE CRISIS, we are all suffering for the same reasons. Enough is enough: it's time for us to stand up for ourselves and demand RADICAL CHANGE. We will express our anger at the myriad of America's failures on the day that we are "supposed" to be celebrating our country to send a bold message to our nation's leaders that we will not continue to be silent and passive while our future goes up in flames (both literally and metaphorically.)
Older adults are welcome to join us. :)
