What we’re about

"Welcome, strangers, lads and lasses!"

You love food? You enjoy a good company and like to get to know interesting people? Look no further, you found the right place!

Since its inception in 2011 nearly 17.000 people joined 780 events (as of 1. Jan 2025), not to mention the myriads of great moments, unique experiences made and friendships created.
So, it is safe to say we've proven our idea of connecting people works!

In addition to the "ordinary" Foodie Dinner-events we are offering:
• Breakfast, for likeminded people, like Freelancers Breakfast,
• Brunch, for those who like to sleep in,
• Lunch, for the quick chat inbetween,
• Dinner, as usual
• Extra events, to add some more spice on it (visiting Food fairs or special events)

All this effort of course comes at some costs!
Despite the high subscription fee the Organiser pays to just run this group, all the Event organisers are volunteers and do all this for FREE. NO ONE get's paid!
Something you, as the member, can do in return is also FREE: Value all the costs and effort spend to provide you a great time by not just signing up when you don't really plan to attend, then keeping your RSVP current and don't do a "No show".
Especially the latter is a huge disgrace to all people involved!

If you have an idea about an event OR want to host an event yourself you're very welcome!
Please get in touch with the Organisers. We gladly share our space!

Fineprint*
Due to the often required pre-booking the seats are limited! Therefore the following is very important!:

  1. We have a "No show"-policy! Signing out less than 4 hours before or not showing up at all w/o given a proper excuse is defined as "No show".
2 "No shows" will lead to the expulsion from the group.
  2. Being on the "Wait"-list means you can not "just come by" but have to wait until a spot frees up and you join the "Going"-list (this and the following notification to you happens automatically. Please change that asap if you won't make it.)
Showing up nonetheless is considered a "Gate crashing" and as rude as "No shows". You will not be allowed to stay and it will lead to an immediate expulsion from the group.
  3. Now the good news: You can always talk to the Event host about joining!
  4. Respect other people! You don't have to agree to other peoples opinion etc. but please keep in mind that we all are different and are there to have a great time!

* = The fineprint sadly became necessary because we've experienced… "unique behaviour". Please be so kind to follow these rules and let's have a good time!
