This group is for retired or semi-retired women, living in University Place/Tacoma and adjacent cities, to connect with other interesting women to talk about or share mutual interests, make friends and have fun. We will have regularly scheduled weekday brunch or lunch gatherings, an optional book club, and see what other activities spark our enthusiasm.
We are a diverse group of women with varied interests such as reading, gardening, traveling, cooking, fitness, theater and other hobbies and activities.
The primary focus is on weekday activities for women who are retired but some evening/weekend activities may be included as well.
Join us for lunch and great conversation.
Boathouse 19 is a great place to meet, eat and chat! Parking is plentiful.
Please RSVP by 9pm the night before. If your plans change either way, after the deadline, you can message me. We can usually add a few more members to our reservation at the last minute.
October 29 is a 5th Tuesday of the month, so we're shaking things up! Steeped in Comfort is a casual little shop and serves a full tea service but also has a regular lunch menu.
Please RSVP by 9pm the night before.
Our first book club meeting was a lot of fun! With input from some members who couldn't attend, we decided to meet on the first Thursday of each month. We will alternate between fiction and non-fiction books. Our first book is fiction, entitled "Where the Crawdads Sing," by Delia Owens. If you don't finish the book, don't let that stop you from attending. It's about us, not the book.
