Our first meetup of 2019 will be hosted by econda in their Karlsruhe office. Exact talk details will be announced shortly but the following speakers have confirmed:
* Bart van Leeuwen, CEO, netage.nl: Smart Data for Smart Firefighters.
* Philipp Sorg, Personalization team leader, econda.de: econda AI - our long road of building successful features based on Machine Learning in E-Commerce.
We will present the story of how econda evolved from a company that mainly collected data to a company that offers data integration and predictions in a simple and scalable way. We will present use cases from our customers that prove the added value of our features measured by hard KPIs such as increase of revenue and return on invest. We will also talk about our implementation based on AWS services such as Sagemaker.
* Adrian Gschwend, Knowledge architect, zazuko.com: Linked Open Data in Switzerland.
In 2014, the Swiss government launched the LINDAS pilot project to gain experience with the publication of Linked Open Data. In 2019, the pilot project will be replaced by a professional platform that will be available to public institutions in Switzerland. In this presentation selected pilot projects and lessons learned will be presented.
* As usual, news and updates from both Stardog and metaphacts.
This is a free and informal networking event and we'll happily sponsor drinks and snacks (courtesy of econda!). Bring your ideas related to knowledge graphs, smart data use cases, experience using this tech, we'll be happy to have it all!
See you in Karlsruhe,
Peter Haase, CEO, metaphacts, metaphacts.com
Pavel Klinov, VP R&D, Stardog Union, stardog.com
PS. You're also encouraged to take a look at econda, Stardog, and metaphacts careers pages and chat with Philipp, me, or Peter, if any of those appeal to you.
