Welcome to RIWA (The Rhode Island Women's Association)! The purpose of this organization is to provide a supportive social, recreational and educational network for lesbian women. RIWA is operated by an elected Steering Committee and member participation. Six dances have been scheduled for 2019.
The organization solicits a membership fee from women wishing to attend the RIWA dances. If you are a NON-RIWA member, a $ 10.00 guest fee is charged per dance. A RIWA member who has paid her RIWA dues of $ 35.00 can attend all of our six scheduled dances without being charged. The money received pays for a private hall and a DJ. Membership forms are available at the dance events or at www.riwa.net. Members are welcome to enter at 6:30 and guests at 7:00 and the music plays on until 11:30pm.
All dances for this season will be held at the Nelson event space located at Lang's Bowlarama, 225 Niantic Ave. Cranston, RI 02907. The scheduled dates for this season are as follows:
