Speaker's Bio:
Foteini Baldimtsi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at George Mason University. Her research interests are in the general area of cryptography, security and data privacy with a special focus on cryptocurrencies, blockchain technologies and private authentication techniques. She received her PhD and MSc in Computer Science from Brown University in 2014 and 2011 respectively and she was a post-doctoral researcher at Boston University from 2014-2016. She is a recipient of a Paris Kanellakis Fellowship and an IBM faculty award.
