Boards & Beers @ Triple Crossing Brewing

Triple Crossing Brewing

Triple Crossing Brewing (http://www.triplecrossingbeer.com) hosts game nights every Tuesday! There's an in-house board game collection, but a ton of people show up with a ton of games. Some folks play long-form Eurogames, others stick to casual games... overall, everyone has a lot of fun and a little beer. Their brews are top-notch - they have some serious hop heads on staff and focus on IPAs, but they're really stepping it up with both lighter beers and stouts as well. See the Boardgamegeek posting (http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1164777/richmond-va-56-boards-beers-triple-crossing) for the (no longer) active discussion. Street parking in the area is free and pretty readily available on Foushee, Canal, and Cary. There are also a few parking lots nearby, shown on this map (https://mapsengine.google.com/map/edit?mid=zWrzMH8hwLpE.kCkR80sFxw7Q). The green spaces are confirmed safe, the red zones are at your own risk, and yellow is paid parking. First round of games starts right at 6, so you're best off if you get there at the start! (although you'll certainly be able to find something at any time of the evening) Links: Triple Crossing Brewing Company (http://www.triplecrossingbeer.com/default.htm) TCBC Event Calendar (http://www.triplecrossingbeer.com/events/) BGG Event thread (http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1164777/richmond-va-56-boards-beers-triple-crossing) Parking Map (https://mapsengine.google.com/map/edit?mid=zWrzMH8hwLpE.kCkR80sFxw7Q)

Board Games at John's!

John's

After becoming part of the board game hobby and meeting some awesome and amazing people because of it, I wanted to open up my place for anyone who wants to play some games with us and have a great time! Teaching a new game is the norm here, so if a game is unfamiliar don't worry, we love teaching and chances are most people at the table would be new as well. The gaming taste here is all over the place, from party and trivia games to heavy euros and Amerthrash. You will almost always find an interest for any game from the group. I also have a decent house collection, which you can view here (https://boardgamegeek.com/collection/user/Gaming%20Snob)! This event typically maxes out with 13 people, with two tables and a non-certain amount of drinks and snacks (donations are always welcome!) any more bodies it would become uncomfortably crowded. If you are put on the wait list just keep an eye out, dropouts do happen! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns! I want to create as open, and welcoming of a group as possible as others have shown me, and to have a great time gaming with friends and newcomers alike!
