What types of topics would you like to hear about? or, are there any topics you would volunteer to be a presenter/discussion leader for?

I am interested in hearing about the latest features of the Java language (especially security) and best practices. I'm also interested in learning about Android app development.

What role does Java play in your day-to-day life?

I don't go anywhere without my Samsung Galaxy S4.

What are your favorite technologies at the moment?

On the web: Django/Python, JavaScript, HTML 5, CSS 3 (Foundation/Sass) Mobile: Android, and to a lesser extent iOS

Why is networking important for Java Enthusiasts?

Certainly it's a great way to meet people for potential job opportunities, but I think it's more important to simply share ideas and solutions to what are likely common problems.

I am an enterprise Java application architect at CapTech. I love learning about new techniques and technologies.
