What we're about
The Rise of Empowerment are mothers, survivors, leaders, scholars, sisters, friends, and daughters. We share stories of triumph and devastating loss, and everything in between. By sharing, we all find a common ground, through inspiration, hope, meaning, and, essentially the action.
• Who should join: The Rise of Empowerment is a meetup group for women who have had an experience of domestic violence or dealing with a tragedy. For the adult age group no education requirements. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about their life to no longer feel victimized.
• Why should members join: This group is for women of adult age who are trying to make changes in their lives. Through the groups dynamic you can "see yourself" in others situation and through the support and encouragement of other women, identify and make behavioral changes to improve your life.
• What can members expect out of the group: Expect to know you're not alone. When you spend time with other people you're able to see their finer points. You're also able to see their flaws. There will be professionals who fit and can add value to the groups support issues through the proper resources to guide and help them improve their lives.
