Rising Routes Sunrise Hike to Lake Isabell

Where: Lake Isabelle in Brainard Lake Recreation Area (please note: there is a fee of $12 per vehicle unless you have a CO state parks pass or National Parks pass)

Round Trip Distance: 4.4 miles

Elevation Gain: 400-500 feet total

Pace: Leisurely

Difficulty: Moderate

Details about the Hike:

We will meet at the Long Lake Trailhead in Brainard Lake Rec Area (Map: https://goo.gl/maps/PGqHUUWFYGeqbyvC7) at 5:45 am. We will begin our hike with a statement and discussion about creating a brave and vulnerable space. We’ll have deep and sometimes difficult conversations on the trail. We ask that everyone consider being open to listening, to learning, and truly trying to have empathy for someone else and their experiences.

While walking we will take in ​Golden hour. Once we reach the lake, we will watch the sunrise, and enjoy some coffee/ tea/ hot cocoa provided by Rising Routes. We will enjoy a brief discussion. Afterward​, we will hike back to the cars while engaging in a deeper discussion using "365 Meaningful Conversations." If you need to borrow gear or your first time hiking please send an email to j@risingroutes.com to let us know. We will send an additional email a few days prior to update you on weather conditions and gear that's needed. If you sign up to join us and are unable to make it, please take your name off the RSVP a day prior to the event.
