What we're about

The Riverhouse Hookers is a crochet group run by Merrian Holland at the Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre in Walton-on-Thames

Classes run during term times and comprise of 5 week projects focusing on learning new techniques. If you're interested in taking your crochet in new directions, honing techniques or just fancy meeting up with fellow crafters then please get in touch! New members are always welcome.

Look out for our "Crochet Clinics" where you can book a slot with me to get help on a specific project, pattern or technique you might be struggling with.

We also run a limited number of 5 week courses for complete beginners and those who want to refresh their basic skills.

Beginner courses are suitable for those that have never crocheted before or are lacking in confidence with the skills they have and would like refreshing.

Intermediate courses are suitable for those that have basic crochet skills and can complete simple patterns and projects with the most common stitches and techniques.

Advanced courses are suitable for those who have many years of crochet experience and know how to follow a pattern & charts. They can "read" their work and are competent in a range of different techniques using a variety of yarn thicknesses.
