Friday Night D&D

This weekly D&D game is just starting up. We'll be playing 5th edition. Beginners are welcome.

Characters will be built using the point-buy system described on page 13 of the player's handbook, where attributes start at 8 and players have 27 additional points to distribute among each attribute. These rules cap starting attributes at 15 before racial increases are added.

Player character races and classes from the Player's Handbook, Xanathar's Guide, the Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide, and Volo's Guide are allowed. Other races and classes may only be taken with prior approval.

Our first session will be “session zero,” reserved for introductions, ground rules, and character creation, although I’ll have a short scenario ready to run if time allows.

We’ll generally wrap things up by 10:30pm on game nights. I’ll usually provide snacks or a full meal, especially if the group wants to potluck.
