Presidential Debates Plan

In 2012 I was Free and Equal Election Foundation's communications director and co-produced the two “3rd Party” presidential debates held that year that were moderated by Larry King and Thom Hartmann and viewed by an estimated audience of 20 million people. A number of us who worked with Free & Equal then have even bigger plans moving forward.

We believe that with laying the groundwork down now, we can create debates that are viewed by far more than 20 million people and really help restore honest presidential debates in America by creating public demand for the candidates on our stages to be included in the debates held by the Commission on Presidential Debates.

Our 4 point plan to restore open and honest debates in 2016 can be found at http://opendebates201...

The success of these debates depends upon attracting the attention of the MSM by having the debates moderated by people whose names are recognized by the entire country. Moderators such as Jon Stewart, Glenn Greenwald, Glenn Beck, Anderson Cooper and more are on our wish list for the 10 debates we plan on producing, and we'd like to know who is on yours. Larry King and Thom Hartmann made all the difference in the 2012 3rd party debates, and we want to make a much bigger splash in 2016 with even bigger names. We need your donation to cover both their speaking fees and the expenses that are associated with major television productions.

Your tax deductible donation can be sent to –

Foundation for Independent Voter Education
101 West Broadway Suite 1460
San Diego CA 92101

EIN 45-2992162

Write Open Debates 2016 in the memo line.

The foundation is very careful to make sure they are following all IRS regulations as to not compromise their legal status. In that regard, some payments may not be processed in or out until they are sure that they are reviewed.

There may be reasonable marginal costs associated with managing the account, (banking fees, etc) However no one is drawing a salary on donations to this account and these funds are ear-marked for production expenses of the proposed 10 presidential debates.

The Foundation for Independent Voter Education is a project of IVC Media – http://independentvot...
