Holiday Fun Event - The Holiday Special Strikes Back

Please join us for our December Meetup, which is our annual holiday fun event. This is a Meetup of members of the Santa Clara County Bar Association High Technology Law Section, and the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Committee of the American Bar Association Section of Science & Technology Law.

For our third annual program, our speaker is once again Josh Gilliland, whose blog "The Legal Geeks" was recognized by the ABA Journal as one of the top 100 blogs in the United States. In his blog, Josh analyzes legal question such as whether Professor Xavier of X-Men violate privacy by reading minds? Could Anakin Skywalker have claimed legal insanity for his acts as Darth Vader?

As is our tradition, the program will celebrating the holiday season with Star Wars legal analysis and Yuletide cheer. With Star Wars Rogue One arriving just before this Meetup, you can expect a fresh analysis of legal issues raised by the new movie.

A dial-in will be provided in the comment section no later than the evening before the talk for those who cannot come in person.

Slides: Right before the talk, a link to see any slides the speaker wants to present will be provided in the comment section. (There may or may not be slides.) This link will expire at the end of the talk, but we will distribute a pdf of the slides by download afterwards.

This program is normally on the fourth Wednesday of every month, but we are moving it up a week because of the holidays. We hope you can attend the program, and thank you for your interest. Please RSVP if you can come in person so we can plan refreshments.
