"...no person who achieved greatness in the arts operated by themselves; they were the top person in a group of like-minded individuals... A group gives the fantastic amount of guts it takes to add to culture. It gives morale, esprit de corps, the resources of many brains, and—maybe most important— ... assurance."
I believe the same applies to our technical endeavors. A highly functional group does not result from the meeting of high-functioning individuals. Instead, a good group creates great individuals. When group starts to operate well, coming together with joy and appreciation, to boost and encourage and entertain one another, then the group magnifies and elevates the abilities and the reach of all the contained individuals. We shape our tools, both technical and social, and then our tools shape us.
RochesTech aims to be radically inclusive, welcoming both the technically experienced and the curious. We're especially happy to welcome everyone from tech's many under-represented groups.
