HDR (High Dynamic Range) Photography Training, Shooting & Processing Workshop

Details
HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography is a method of capturing and processing a series of images into one composite image. This method offers you the opportunity to produce a single image which can have a very wide range of lighting conditions.
During this 5 hour workshop, the group will be start out photographing downtown Rochester using bracketed exposures to capture the full dynamic range of the light. Use of a sturdy tripod is highly recommended for this technique.
Bob will be instructing how to use either your Automated Exposure Bracketing (AEB) feature on your camera, or manual controls to capture your bracket of images.
Once everyone has had the opportunity to create a selection of bracketed images around downtown, the group will proceed to the studio where Bob will discuss downloading and stacking the images in Lightroom prior to processing.
Bob will be using nik's HDR Efex Pro 2 to process during the workshop. Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops if possible and play with processing a few of their images. HDR Efex Pro 2, as well as several other software packages are available as a free trial download, don't activate it too early, you want it to be available the day of the workshop.
This will be an opportunity to see Bob's HDR workflow from A to Z!
While downtown we will also shoot a series of images intended to be stitched together to form a panorama. If we have time after completing the HDR portion of the workshop I will demonstrate stitching together a panorama using Photoshop. There are several other panorama stitching programs available if you don't own Photoshop.
The nik HDR Efex Pro 2 software is part of a suite of programs. Assuming we will have sufficient time, Bob will demonstrate some of the other programs within the suite.
Attendees are encouraged to bring along their camera, sturdy tripod and laptop with Lightroom and HDR software if possible.
