What we're about

Fun group hanging out and having fun and learning more together. We desire real community. Friendships where people invest and care for each other. We make everyone feel welcome, everyone is important, and every persons voice will be heard. Music and games are sometimes available and sometimes we choose a topic discussion.

Join Amy and learn how to play Relating Games about the 5 Love Languages!!!

## About this event

Authentic Relating is the practice of being emotionally vulnerable with a group of people who come together specifically for the purpose of practicing honesty, openness, self expression, listening, compassion, and empathy. We like to go deep!

The theme for Wednesday Night will be The 5 Love Languages. I will speak about the basics of this practice and then there will be exercises where we talk about how each language manifests in our lives. This is one of my favorite topics to relate about!!!! It's so much fun!

Doors open at 6:45pm. Event starts at 7:00pm.
I am open to going beyond 10pm if participants wish.
Please be on-time. If you will be late, or if you need
to leave right at 10:00, please let me know.

This event is being held in a private home, near the corner of Battery Lane & Old Georgetown Road, in Bethesda, MD. The address will be provided at the time of purchase. Venue is walking distance from the Metro. Free street parking is available.

There will be snacks provided. If you wish to bring a treat to share with the group - we love tasty contributions.

**THIS IS A SOBER EVENT. If you are not able to respect this, do not attend.**

In Authentic Relating, we create a "closed container" in which we set some agreements. Participants are invited to:

1. Honor Self - Be present and attentive to your mental, emotional, spiritual and physical needs. Set whatever boundaries you need. You are always at-choice about whether to participate in any exercise.
2. Honor Others - Assume positive regard and approach with empathy and curiosity. We are all at different phases of life. We all have room to grow.
3. Respect Confidentiality - While we cannot guarantee confidentiality, we do ask that you DO NOT repeat another participant's personal stories or information without their consent. People attend these events specifically so they can be honest and open. Please treat these moments with the utmost care and respect.
4. Lean Into Your Growth Edge - You will likely encounter moments where you can choose to stay "safe" or to bravely try something new and see where you can expand. Please be gentle with yourself and only do what you are whole-heartedly ready for.
If this sounds like a good for you - I invite you to purchase your ticket. Space is limited.

*COVID*
This event is "attend at your own risk". I cannot offer any sort of guarantee of safety. If you choose to attend, you will be in the proximity of others. I invite you to take whatever precautions you feel you need for your own health and safety (masking, eating separately, etc.), but I will not be checking vaccination status or requiring a negative test. The venue has a large, open room with tall ceilings and an air filtration system, which may help, but does not guarantee safety. If you are exhibiting symptoms of illness or have been in contact with someone who has, please stay home.

(There is a small fee)
