The Rose Street Writers in Berkeley welcomes new and experienced writers of all interests and genres to drop into our monthly meeting held every second Sunday 3:00-4:30 (or longer depending on the number of participants) at a member's house on Rose Street. We discuss individual writing projects, set goals, and celebrate accomplishments. We are an established group writers with diverse backgrounds and a broad range of interests from Science writing to Fiction, Blogging to Poetry. We usually create time for a writing exercise during the meeting. Writers always have the opportunity to share a short sample of their work in the spirit of camaraderie, but sharing is not required. This is not a critique group! It's a writing community.
Our Febuary 7th Rose Street Writers event will be held Sunday 2:30-4:30, online via Zoom. We will discuss current writing projects and monthly goals. Bring a short sample of your work to share, or simply attend, listen and respond to the work of other members. If time allows, we will write together in response to a prompt. This is a drop-in group, and not a critique group. It is organized for writers to articulate their writing goals in community. We welcome newcomers as well as regular attendees. RSVP early! We have a limit of 10 per monthly meeting. Thanks everyone!
