The November 1972 issue of the Rosicrucian Digest included an article entitled “Mystic Poetry” by Peter Bowden. We will follow up on that article and consider how our mystical experience though ineffable is nevertheless eminently worth describing and sharing through various forms of creative expression. We will consider poetry in its wide-ranging forms for the conveyance of mystical experience and the emulation of the Cosmic. According to the Rosicrucian teachings, all life—our lives included—acts as a dynamic mirror through which the Divine continuously observes and experiences Itself. This ancient idea, rooted in mysticism and echoed in modern consciousness studies, invites profound reflection on the nature of perception and existence. In this presentation, Grand Master Julie Scott will guide us in exploring the philosophical and scientific implications of this concept, including the distinction between actuality—the underlying vibratory structure of the universe—and reality—the filtered version we perceive through our senses and cognitive frameworks. Together, we will examine how consciousness, perception, and cosmic law interplay in shaping the mirror of life.

For centuries, the enigma of consciousness and the possibility of a soul independent from the brain have captivated both philosophers and scientists alike. In this presentation, we will review scientific evidence that challenges the conventional neurobiological perspective, which holds that consciousness is exclusively a product of brain activity. Drawing from a range of interdisciplinary studies, we will look at findings that provide compelling evidence for the existence of an immaterial aspect of self and consciousness, usually referred to as the Soul, that transcends the physical boundaries of the brain.
