This is a group for people who want to find out what the Rosicrucian Order, AMORC, is about and what it has to offer.
Briefly, the purpose of the Rosicrucian Order is to further the evolution of consciousness in its many forms, enlightenment, & happiness of both the individual & humanity as a whole - for the individual to reach their full spiritual & creative potential leading ultimately to a state known as Cosmic Consciousness.
To help achieve this, our aim is to awaken our Inner/Higher Self (our True or Real Self) to full consciousness so that the Divine Love & Intelligence within awakens, and manifests itself in more harmonious conditions in all aspects of our lives, and consequently of our communities, cities, countries etc as well.
Mystical Tradition, in all its various garbs around the world, tells us that ultimately it is the destiny of each and every one of us to eventually reach this lofty goal anyway. So ‘why bother’, you might ask? Firstly, because seen from the short-term perspective, success is not guaranteed and we might cause some serious damage and pain to ourselves and, -more importantly, our planet- while we keep bumbling along the road to enlightenment. Secondly, because the goal we visualise is such a glorious and magnetic one that some of us just can’t wait to get ourselves -and our marvellous world- there as fast as possible J .
For those who want to move faster than the normal, standard, ‘run of the mill’ unavoidable and ‘built-in’ personal and spiritual development described at the start of the previous paragraph, while doing our darndest to maintain the health, safety and beauty of our world, training is required to awaken this Inner Self.
The Rosicrucian Order, AMORC, is one of the genuine traditional organisations in the world that has, quietly and discreetly, been providing this training for centuries. In the past this would have taken the form of a verbal tradition, meetings of like-minded people in a certain place, to pass on and receive the timeless universal wisdom contained in the Order’s teachings. In our current juncture of time it also comes in the form of a home study system where various topics, exercises & experiments are given, which, over time, aid in the awakening of your true spiritual Self to full awareness.
