Join us for our Fall Symposium where we will explore the convergence of ancient wisdom and modern science. Through presentations on Universal Consciousness, the nature of reality, the body’s hidden centers of intelligence, the mystical significance of numbers, and contemporary experiences of meditation, we will consider how timeless insights can deepen our understanding of consciousness, health, harmony, and our connection with the cosmos.
Symposium Schedule:
10:00 am PDT
Ancient Wisdom and the Conscious Universe with Grand Master Julie Scott
Ancient Egyptian wisdom reveals a worldview in which consciousness is fundamental to reality. Join Grand Master Julie Scott in exploring Egyptian beliefs in the soul, the afterlife, and a Universal Mind as evidence that consciousness transcends the physical body. We will connect these ideas with the Rosicrucian understanding of the brain as a receiver of Universal Consciousness. Together, they suggest that we do not create consciousness—we participate in it.

Reality and the Underlying Actuality with Michael Shaluly
As human understanding advances, remarkable parallels continue to emerge between mystical traditions and modern physics. Science has begun to provide frameworks for many mystical concepts to attach to and be further analyzed and discovered. From consciousness studies and quantum physics to neuroscience and systems theory, contemporary research increasingly reveals a universe far more interconnected and dynamic than earlier mechanistic models suggested.
11:00 am PDT The Body’s Hidden Centers of Intelligence; Ancient Insights, Modern Understanding with Ese Magege
Can consciousness participate in restoring balance and health? A kind word, a caring presence, or a quiet moment may influence more than how we think. It may be reflected in the breath, the body, and the way we experience ourselves in that moment. This familiar connection between inner experience and physical response opens a broader inquiry into consciousness, action, and health. From a spiritual perspective, action is consciousness made visible. Its influence may continue after the visible act has ended through thought, emotion, memory, nervous-system activity, and bodily rhythm. Drawing upon Rosicrucian teachings on the psychic centers and modern scientific understanding of the autonomic nervous system and self-regulation, this presentation examines how consciousness and action influence bodily rhythms, health, and well-being. It considers how modern science can help us better understand ancient insights into the relationship among consciousness, equilibrium, and health.

The Science and Mysticism of Numbers: Ancient Insight and Modern Understanding with Ingrid Young
How did our modern system of numbers evolve, and why do most human societies base their counting on the number 10? What does ritual have to do with numbers and cycles? What is the meaning of 666, the astronomical pentagram, and the Maltese Cross-like shape of a photon? Learn the secrets of the number nine and the creation of the Lo Shu magic square. In this presentation with Ingrid Young, beyond their basic use for counting, we explore the deeper meaning of numbers as mystical symbols of cosmic significance.

Social Media Community Analytics on the Practice of Meditation with Hugh McCague
We will examine the contemporary experience of the ancient practice of meditation by analyzing a large volume of social media data. An advantage of survey research using publicly available social media conversations is that it considers what people have chosen to engage in rather than responding to topics and questions chosen by a researcher. In this manner, we will note that the practice of meditation gives rise to wide-ranging benefits, challenges, and growth. Apparent as well, is the application of Rosicrucian laws and principles for our well-being, harmonious living, and service.
