Reactive Microservices in JRuby with Vert.x
Speaker: Brian Sam-Bodden / Integrallis
Vert.x is a library that is to Java what Node is to Javascript. Based on
the reactor pattern and an asynchronous programming model, Vert.x was designed
for high-performance networking applications.
Vert.x is also a polyglot library providing idiomatic APIs in many languages, including Ruby.
In this session I'll explore the building of industrial-strength, high performance web
services with Vert.x and Ruby.
We meet on the third Tuesday of every month, usually at GoDaddy in Tempe but we are looking for other locations around the valley. Please reach out if you can offer up space for a meetup!
