History of Apache web server development in Lincoln,NE and discussion about the old daze in the Lincoln startup community.

After our April meeting presentation about Open Source and Ruby, I was invited to share some of my experience in the Open Source development communities and some of the lore of the early days of Apache web server development at our May meeting.

This will be an informal discussion. I'll start off with an overview of some of the things going on in Open Source and Apache starting back about 1994. I'm happy to cover any number of topics and will let the group guide me as to where we would like to go.

Topics could include:

• History of Apache HTTPD project

• Startup experience in Lincoln, NE in 1994 and beyond

• Transition from Lincoln startup to San Francisco startup
