Join us for this unique class which begins just after Thursday Group Run. Physical Therapist Karen Gonzalez will be leading a class on Ki-Hara Resistance Stretching.
Karen will teach self-stretching techniques that combine stretching and strengthening of muscle and fascial tissue during eccentric contraction or lengthening of the muscle.
This improves muscle strength and enhances joint protection during performance of daily tasks, functional mobility and sports-related activities. It is also an effective way of decreasing soft tissue and joint pain.
Karen Gonzalez has been a registered physical therapist for 20 years. She's a Certified Ki-Hara Master Trainer and a Certified Level I Track and Field Coach with the USATF specializing in proper mechanics and treatment of injuries.
There will be a free and friendly group run/walk before the stretching class. The run starts at 6:30. And the stretching Class starts around 7:15.
