Announcing a new Meetup for Running with your Dog Meetup Group!

What: Sunday Run - 9 AM

When: Sunday, October 31,[masked]:00 AM

Where: Cameron Run Regional Park
4001 Eisenhower Ave
Alexandria, VA 22304

Hi Doggie Athletes,
Josie and I will try to make it out this weekend. Austin and his mom will be running the group again.

Good luck to Riley and Nick's mom in the MCM!!

Happy running!

Jeff & Josie

We meet in the Cameron run parking lot (right next to the shelter). There is a trail that loops around Cameron Station from the Shelter. The loop is about 3 miles. It's mainly traffic free except for a short sidewalk piece off of duke street to get on the road that goes behind the dog park to get back into Cameron Station. Here's a map, http://tinyurl.com/bvjkxj

Rules of the meetup:

1. Please make sure your dog up to date on shots, rabies, distemper and bordetella.

2. No Flexi leashes or long training leashes. A 6ft leash works well or two 4ft leashes, one to go around your waist attached to one on the dog for hands free running.

3. Consult your vet/doc before starting any exercise program.

4. Understand your dogs limits. If your dog is starting to fall behind you, stop and walk or take a break. It's ok to start off slow.

5. Have fun. I like to run, I like to hang out with my dog so this should be twice as fun as either activity alone.
