What we're about

Do you know how to program in Rust? Do you want to learn? Either way, you're welcome here! Looking to have a group to discuss developing in Rust and answer any questions or issues you might have while coding in it.

All experience levels welcome!

What is Rust:

Rust is a programming language focused on guaranteeing safety and giving you better control over your code's performance. Its syntax is like C, but it also has traits to mark what your data can and can't do to the compiler; this way, Rust protects you by default from frustrating bugs such as data races and invalid memory accesses. And because traits tell Rust how your data should behave, its abstractions can be tailored exactly to your use cases, making sure the compiled program only has as much code as it actually needs to do its job.
