Rust Coding Dojo September 2018
Details
This is the event that was planned for the 12th. Everything is confirmed now, sorry it took a while.
6:30pm Welcome & networking (coffee&tea offered, more for a fee)
6:45pm Coding Dojo begins!
Peter Marks will lead another dojo: he'll suggest an interesting coding challenge that can hopefully be solved in two hours, then code the solution on the screen, with the group participating. Whenever he gets stuck, you'll help. Whenever you've got an idea, you pitch in. Peter, having a background in functional programming with Haskell, has a knack for using nice abstractions, so this may be interesting for you even if you're an advanced Rust programmer. Basic knowledge of the Rust syntax and core concepts will be expected, but feel free to ask if you don't understand something. Watch us learn better Rust coding together.
NOTE: This evening will take place at the Mozilla offices, not Skills Matter! Make sure to RSVP so that the receptionist will have you on his list. But please remember to free up your slot when you later realize that you won't make it.
