Rust in Production at City of Los Angeles

Details
Welcome back, Rustaceans!
I'm excited to bring our events calendar back in an online fashion for 2021, starting with a talk from Jason Byors about how Rust is used on the City of Los Angeles website. I have a couple more speakers lined up for future events as well, and I hope we can have an event every month or two this year. They'll generally follow the same basic format of a short talk followed by some Zoom breakout rooms for networking.
For our first talk, Jason will discuss various places Rust is used on the City Planning website https://planning.lacity.org/ including how key libraries are used/configured as well as usages statistics, and how rust held up to various hacking attempts. Jason will also delve into their web assembly apps in more detail.
Schedule:
7pm - Intros & Welcome
7:10pm - Rust in Production at City of Los Angeles
~7:30pm - Networking via Zoom's Breakout Rooms (first)
~7:45pm - Networking via Zoom's Breakout Rooms (second)
~8:00pm - Wrap-up & open networking
