What we're about

We are survivors of spiritual abuse, and gather to form a friendly, growing, gracious community as we walk a path of healing from our abuse. We gently pursue two things: 1. healthy community, and 2., knowledge about the dynamics of spiritual abuse, often experienced in religious, spiritually oriented groups, churches, cults, etc. There is no cost, no demands, no expectation that attendees will speak of their abuse, and no commitment or signing up! Drop in, grab a drink, check us out! This group is led by survivors and educators experienced with spiritual abuse.

Spiritual Abuse: "Yes, it's a real thing. . ."

1431 SW 12th Ave

This meetup is a relaxed, informal gathering for people who are interested in understanding and healing from abuse suffering in religious groups and organizations of all types. Regardless of the label, "cult," "abusive church," "high control group," "sect," "fellowship," etc., the abusive tactics and environments are remarkably similar--in all religions, ideological groups, and spiritual movements! There is help, and hope. The first step is to see the problem, and then to find the words to describe it. This meeting is a start and an encouragement to do just that. As always, all are welcome!
