February 2017 Meetup

  • Payment Data Systems

12500 San Pedro Ave. Ste. 120, San Antonio, TX (map)

    0.000000 0.000000

  • The first floor of the Bank of America building at the corner of Wurzbach Parkway and 281 North. The door must remain locked on Sundays, be we can see you from inside, and will usually have you in the building within a minute or so of your arrival.
  • 1:35pm - Meeting starts:

1.) A roughly 30 minute presentation by Tracy Rickman about getting started with mobile development.

2.) Current progress / demo your project for feedback (Show off what you've been working on.  Get help live and in person if you're stuck on something.  No matter how basic or complex the issue, it can't hurt to ask.  Most of us are in the process of learning about something new to us at any given time).

3.) Individual goal setting (Declare goals to the group to help you create a sense of accountability.  Team up with another member to form an accountability team.  Sort of a sponsor who will check up on your progress at certain intervals throughout the month).

4.) Group goal setting (Does anyone have any discussion topics or goals for us to address at the next month's meeting?  Perhaps someone would like to plan a presentation, or organize a game jam, etc.  I know there are an increasing number of industry events in our city each year.  I'd like to see some projects come out of our group from development teams that are willing to partially represent our group at these events).

5.) Attendance / Intros (Tell us who you are, and a little about your interest or experience in game development.)

6.) Open discussion (Make a friend, or "network" as the business-minded folk call it)
