What do you do when you know you have a great product or service, but then you hit an impasse? Or you just want to add a new capability and move forward with a PoC that, well.... gets complicated?
That's what happened to us at SAP, with one of our leading developer tools. And to our friends, at JFrog with an existing service. So we decided to team up, and share our knowledge and what we learned from our challenging journey.
Join SAP R&D Center's Expert Developer, Lidor Tal, and JFrog's Software Architect, Yinon Avraham, to hear all about how they tackled, pivoted and successfully overcame the challenges.

16:30 – Gathering
16:45 - Lidor Tal, Expert Developer at SAP's R&D Center in Israel -
Will present SAP Web IDE's journey from a proprietary monolithic application to an open-source microservices architecture on top of Kubernetes. I will review challenges and important pivoting decisions made along the way, that brought us to the current architecture.
17:30 - Yinon Avraham, Software Architect at JFrog
Will present lessons learned from a PoC which didn’t work as expected, including researching and proposing enhanced capabilities for an existing JFrog service. The talk will share with the community how he set out to improve distribution times (file transfer, format and compression) in highly distributed systems, and ended up with positive side effects of the journey making it a success.
