SARR Adopt-A-Trail Clean-Up Event
The NEXT Fabulous and Fun SARR Adopt-A-Trail Clean-Up Event! SARR adopted a one-mile stretch of trail in 2016. This section of trail starts at Walker Ranch Park heading South toward McAllister Park. ~ AND WE NEED YOUR HELP FOR THIS NEXT CLEAN UP EVENT ~ As the biggest running club in town, our runners use the parks and greenways on a daily basis. The city needs our help (AND YOURS) to keep the trails looking great and trash-free. By adopting part of a trail, SARR partners with the city to keep our trails clean and safe. We have one clean up event every two months on an ongoing basis. We are proud that the City of San Antonio has put up our SARR Adopt-A-Trail sign on the trail at the Walker Ranch Park Trailhead. Thanks for all the volunteer support to make that a reality! SPECIFICS of THIS EVENT: WHEN: Sunday, September 23rd, 2018 TIME: 9am start to 11am finish (approximately a two-hour commitment) NEEDED: YOUR HELP for the continued trash clean-up of our section of the trail. BRING: Sturdy shoes and clothes that you don't mind getting a little dusty. The city will provide ALL other needed equipment. SARR will provide snacks and hydration! Please join us for this next clean-up event and let's show all that SARR is giving back to our community! Club member Phil Gaddy will be your volunteer organizer and host for this event. RSVP as soon as possible so that we can let the San Antonio Parks and Recreations personnel know how much equipment to bring. THANK YOU FOR VOLUNTEERING!
