!! SASPUG 25th Anniversary Celebration !!

Details

The PAST, the PRESENT, and the FUTURE!

It's been 25 years since we first gathered in a classroom at North Seattle Community College. We had no clue that we were the very 1st meeting of a SOLIDWORKS User Group. Twelve industry professionals and about another dozen students met on April 2, 1996 to start learning from and sharing with each other. From that small gathering has grown a world-wide community of passionate SOLIDWORKS users.

We hope you'll join us for this celebration of our origins, a look at who/what/where we've been over the past 25 years, what we're doing today, and what the next 25 years may bring.

AGENDA:
3:30PM PDT: We'll open the virtual/online "doors" for mixing, mingling and catching up on old friends and meeting new ones. Make sure you have a webcam so that we can see you.

4:00PM PDT: Welcoming remarks from SASPUG founder and current leader, Eric A. Beatty.

4:05PM PDT: SolidWorks '95 Demonstration by Jeff Setzer. Take a trip with us down memory lane as Jeff demos the OG version of our favorite CAD tool. Jeff will be presenting the actual "boomerang" and "camera" demos that first got Eric Beatty hooked on SolidWorks. See how far we've come (and yet, how much remains the same). You WILL NOT want to miss this!

4:35PM PDT: Eric Beatty will spotlight our leadership team over the past quarter century, share memories of stand out meetings and take a look at where we, as a local group AND a world-wide community, are today. He'll also be previewing a major SOLIDWORKS User Group event that will take place later this year.

5:15PM PDT: Friend of SASPUG and SOLIDWORKS CEO, Gian Paolo Bassi will join us to celebrate our 25 years of leadership in the SOLIDWORKS community and share with us his vision of the NEXT 25 years.

Following Gian Paolo's remarks, we will open up the webcams once again so that folks can share with us their anecdotes, memories and stories about SASPUG and the SOLIDWORKS community that we've helped engender. So please, make sure that you have your webcam at the ready - we're looking forward to seeing you all!!
