August Assembly - EmpowHERment
For this month's assembly, our keynote speaker will be Carrie Cook and the EmpowHERment team. EmpowHERment is a non-profit dedicated to educating our young women to be leaders through mentorship, talent development, and advocacy. This is looking to be an inspiring talk, so please join us! After the assembly, we will be carpooling from Hattie's to join the Pride Parade in uptown! Wear a tie-dye t-shirt or purchase one of our "Be Radically Inclusive" tie-dye shirts for a $20 donation. Proceeds will support SACLT. We have sizes from S-2XL. We also plan to have lunch available for those who are marching with us! We look forward to see, and march with, you! Email [masked] if you have any questions!

What we're about

Sunday Assembly Charlotte is a community of people trying to reach our full potential together. Sunday Assembly started in London in January 2013 by Sanderson Jones and Pippa Evans, who are two comedians who love to celebrate life. You can read all about the origins of Sunday Assembly here. (http://sundayassembly.com/story/)

So what’s the idea? Basically, the goal of Sunday Assembly is to create a space to celebrate life, build community, and grow as people. The mission is straightforward and simple: Live Better, Help Often, and Wonder More. The idea was a hit and it spread like wild fire. Now there are Sunday Assemblies around the world.

Our organizers are busy getting everything ready for our next event, which will take place on the third Sunday of this month. If you’re interested in helping out, head over to our Facebook group (http://www.facebook.com/groups/saclt/) and drop us a message, or follow us on Twitter @SA_CLT (https://twitter.com/SA_CLT). You can find more information about our Sunday Assembly at http://saclt.org .

Please help us pay the bills! Click the "Chip In" button on the left navigation bar on this page or go to http://saclt.org and click the "Donate" button to make a one-time or recurring PayPal donation. Thank you for helping us keep this shindig running!
