Perhaps something based on seasonal ingredients. Buy fresh ingredients in a local Farmers Market, then return to prepare and cook what we had just purchased. Discuss alternatives -- how to substitute one ingredient for another in a recipe, based on what was fresh and available.
Vegetable soup. Pasta sauce But especially -- my Christmas Eve Chili (a ground turkey and black bean chili that has been chosen over beef-based chili at Super Bowl parties...really! The recipe has almost a full page of ingredients, but it's well worth it)
I'm not sure there is a cuisine I don't like. I have favorite dishes in every cuisine I've enjoyed.
I'm a creative and enthusiastic cook, but my cake decorating experience is limited to the birthday cakes I made for my kids when they were little! I'm looking forward to meeting folks who enjoy cooking and who live nearby.
This is one of the best meet-up groups I've participated in. Always lively discussion and interesting people in addition to fun events
