    This is our weekly Tuesday Meetup - Come and join us! Everyone is welcome! We welcome all skill levels and we play a wide variety of music styles. Come on down and make new friends, improve your Uke skills, and have some fun all at the same time. Meetup starts at 6:30pm and is over around 8:00 - You can't miss us! This meeting is "Strum Along" format which means everyone plays and sings the same song at the same time. The songs are requests from the club, picked from the main songbook. The songbook can be downloaded at the link below. Print, practice and bring to the sing along! Songbook hard copies will also be available for loan and/or purchase at the meeting.     *Please Read the Entire Post* It includes details regarding the SD Library Volunteer procedures that are required for attendance. Uke it Up For the Kids Come join us for an hour of playing music at the library! If you like ukes, kids and silliness, you will have fun. Where Look for us in the back of the first floor which is the children's library. Parking is available in the library's underground garage (loop around and head North on 11th to find the entrance). You get two hours free with validation, which should cover the time required and we may have parking passes if needed. What you Need Don't forget your uke and a stand if you have it. Hard copies of our kids songbook will be provided. If you have kids' songs you think may work, feel free to bring copies of those and lead a song or two. Those who plan to volunteer more than once are required to complete the volunteer orientation and fingerprinting. This is a painless process and there are even fun perks that come with being an official volunteer. Here are the instructions for orientation and fingerprinting: To register for the one-hour volunteer orientation, go to: the Eventbrite website and search for “sdplvolunteers” or click the link below. You may attend an orientation at whichever location is convenient for you.     Last Tuesday of the month and you know what that means... Open mic night! Come join us for our monthly night of sharing and caring. Play a song or two for the group and/or listen and cheer for your fellow Strummers. Remember, no memorization needed but you are welcome to learn your song by heart. And if you are nervous, rest assured this is the safest space for performance outside your bathroom or car. Indeed. Look for the sign up sheet floating around near the front of the room.     This monthly meetup is in a nice public outdoor space with free parking, some seating and drinks right across the street. We will be playing some acoustic country-flavored music, Paul Zucker’s favorites.
