Whaling City Camera Club presents Exposure & Composition Workshop

Professional photographer Greg Lassard will be conducting a workshop on exposure and composition. Greg will explain how to use the meter in your camera to get the best possible image. In this workshop, you will learn how to adjust your camera to get outstanding exposures. This will be a class for those who want to know how to fine tune exposures and to learn how to use the dreaded Manual button.

The second half of the workshop will be on composition. This workshop is all about composition. Have you ever wondered how to create stunning images? Composition is one of the most essential skills for any photographer to develop. In this workshop Greg will cover many basic techniques and guidelines that will help improve your photography. He will discuss everything from foregrounds to backgrounds including the rule of thirds, leading lines, the golden ration and the Fibonacci sequence, the use of f stops for creatively controlling depth of field and how to create three dimensional photographs. He will also discuss the advantages of various lenses and how to use them. The workshop will help you learn to make powerful images and give you the tools that you will need to be able to clearly communicate through your images.

Please bring your camera to the workshop.

Cost of workshop is $10.00 payable at the door

I will gladly pay $10.00 to lessen my fear of the dreaded Manual mode. Look forward to meeting you folks in the morning.
